Phoenixville, PA — The 47th season of Survivor has officially begun, and this year, our very own Sierra Wright, a 27-year-old nurse from Phoenixville, is competing for the ultimate title of Sole Survivor. Sierra, known for her infectious energy and fun-loving personality, is making waves on the show, and the excitement in her hometown is palpable.

For those looking to support her journey, Twelve78 Brewing is hosting a weekly viewing party every Wednesday night, making it the perfect spot to watch the show with fellow Phoenixville locals while enjoying some great brews. You can check out their official site for more details on the events here.

Meet Sierra Wright: A Nurse with Grit and Determination

Sierra Wright may be known for her friendly, upbeat nature, but don’t let that fool you—she’s in it to win. As a registered nurse working for a plastic surgeon, Sierra has learned how to be a guide and support system for patients, often taking on the role of therapist during difficult times. It’s a skillset she hopes will serve her well in the strategic and often emotional game of Survivor.

“A lot of times when I’m around, people are laughing,” Sierra said in her pre-show interview. “I like to call myself a hoot!” But beneath the bubbly personality is someone with serious drive. A former Miss Delaware USA and lifelong athlete, Sierra has worn many hats, from being a Phillies ball girl to working in the service industry for over 12 years. Now, she’s set her sights on conquering the grueling challenges of Survivor.

Sierra’s motivation for joining the game comes from a deeply personal place. “I’m out here to play for my dad,” she shared. Her father has battled through health challenges over the past two years, and Sierra’s last conversation with him before joining the show was a heartfelt message of encouragement: “Go get ’em, bud. Bring it home and come home a millionaire.”

Survivor 47: The Gata Tribe

Sierra is part of the yellow Gata tribe this season, competing alongside a diverse group of contestants, including Anika Dhar, Andy Rueda, Jon Lovett, Rachel LaMont, and Sam Phalen. Together, they’ll face grueling physical challenges, strategic gameplay, and the ever-looming threat of being voted out at tribal council.

This season of Survivor promises to be intense, with extended 90-minute episodes airing weekly after the two-hour premiere. Host Jeff Probst returns once again to guide the players through the twists and turns of the game, as they navigate alliances, challenges, and the harsh environment of the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji.
