Rebel Hill Brewing Bids Farewell to the 420 Taproom
In this story
Phoenixville’s craft beer scene is experiencing a bittersweet moment as Rebel Hill Brewing announces the closing of its original location, affectionately known as the 420 Taproom, at 420 Schuylkill Road. While the closure marks the end of an era for the intimate, 640-square-foot brewery where Rebel Hill's journey began, the story of this beloved local brewery is far from over.
A Legacy of Community and Craft
For the past seven years, the 420 Taproom has been more than just a brewery—it’s been a gathering place. The small corner space welcomed beer enthusiasts and locals alike to share stories, form connections, and enjoy some of the finest craft beers Phoenixville has to offer. From the first pint poured, Rebel Hill Brewing built a legacy of community, camaraderie, and exceptional craftmanship.
What’s Next for Rebel Hill Brewing
While the original location is closing, Rebel Hill Brewing is not saying goodbye to Phoenixville. Their vibrant downtown location at 242 Bridge Street will remain open, serving as the hub for their craft beer creations and community engagement. Additionally, Rebel Hill plans to expand its distribution efforts in the spring, utilizing its larger brewhouse to bring its beers to even more fans.
The team is excited to continue their journey and promises that the good vibes and quality brews will carry on at the Bridge Street taproom.
A Farewell Celebration
To honor the Taproom’s legacy, Rebel Hill Brewing has planned several special events leading up to its final day:
- Final Hip Hop Sunday: On Sunday, February 16, enjoy music by DJ Big Daddy Blake and BBQ from @dankmustysbbq.
- Final Day Open: On Saturday, February 22, celebrate with DJ Big Daddy Blake spinning classic tracks and wood-fired pizza from @brickandblazepizza (weather permitting).
These events provide a chance for the community to come together, enjoy great food and music, and raise a pint in honor of Rebel Hill Brewing’s original home.
